Online Citation Tools
Try these resources to develop your references and works cited lists. Some offer forms to create citations. Be sure to compare your results from these sources with the appropriate manual for accuracy.
- Not sure which style you should use? Try Research and Documentation Online, by Diane Hacker. This lists multiple styles and the subject areas that use them; includes sample papers.
- Citation Machine, is a tool that can help you format your citations based on MLA (6th or 7th Eds.), APA, Turabian, or Chicago style guides. Be sure to compare your results with the appropriate manual for accuracy.
- Citing Sources from Duke University Libraries, offers guidelines for using APA, 6th ed. & MLA 7th ed., as well as help for avoiding plagiarism.
- KnightCite, from The Hekman Library at Calvin College, can build citations for MLA 7th ed., APA 6th ed., & Chicago 6th ed.
- OSLIS Citation Maker from the Oregon School Library Information System; offers two MLA citation makers and an APA citation maker.
