eBook Collections for RPCC Students, Faculty, and Staff
eBook Collection on EBSCOhost
NetLibrary has been replaced by eBook Collection on EBSCOhost. Over 90,000 ebooks are available, both fiction and non-fiction titles. Titles include both recently published and classics. Please note that eBook Collection and Book Collection: Nonfiction (below) are two distinct collections from EBSCOhost, and off-campus access differs slightly.

World Book E-Books Center
About 4000 ebooks available, including fiction and non-fiction titles. You will be prompted to login from off-campus. Login information is available in the Library or in Moodle, under RPCC Support, RPCC Library Services; go to "Accessing Online Resources From Home," click "Databases" and choose "Off-Campus Access to RPCC Resources" to find the appropriate login information.

LearningExpress eBooks
Over 180 ebooks available, mostly topics on skills building, career preparation, test preparation, etc. You MUST create a LearningExpress Library account while on campus in order to access the full e-book collection when off-campus. All LearningExpress Library eBooks are now listed under their related Learning Centers; they may also be searched for by title, subject, or keyword, using the search tool.

Project Gutenberg
Offers over 36,000 e-books, in several formats, that may be downloaded to a PC or various portable devices. Books that are in the public domain (no longer protected by copyright) are over 95 years old.
The Internet Archive: Ebook and Texts Archive
Almost 1.5 million books, plays, and other documents in the public domain (the copyright has expired or were never protected by copyright) are available for reading and downloading. Books in the public domain are typically over 95 years old.
Google books
Offers millions of titles, many for free. Also offers the Google eBookstore, which has over 3 million eBooks available for sale for download to several portable devices.

The Universal Digital Library: Million Book Collection
Over a million books, plays, and other documents in the public domain are available for reading online. This project is an international effort initiated by Carnegie-Mellon University and its partners. Note: for viewing UDL books, you will need either DjVu and/or Tiff plugins, both of which are free and available through the site.
