  • Health Source: Nursing / Academic Edition - Provides full-text records from over 550 journals focusing on health and medical topics. Includes Lexi-PAL Drug Guide.
  • Medline - Provides medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and the health care system.
  • Medline Plus - Provides full-text medical information on diseases and disorders, medicine and drugs, and other health related topics. Written for a public audience. This resource does not require login.
  • Oxford Reference Online - Provides full-text access to many subject dictionaries and encyclopedias, maps, timelines, and more. Uses a unique login; see RPCC Library Services under RPCC Support in Moodle, or stop by the Library for more information.
  • Nursing & Allied Health Source - Provides full-text information from leading nursing, allied health, and related publications.

  • Healthline is a web portal-search tool focusing on health related information, resources, and news.
  • MediLexicon, hosted in the United Kingdom, this site boasts the "largest online database of pharmaceutical and medical abbreviations," and claims to be frequently updated; it also offers news, drug information and links to other health resources.
  • MedTerms, from MedicineNet.com, their medical dictionary defines over 16,000 medical terms. MedicineNet.com also offers health information and news.
  • National Institutes of Health, from the U. S. Department of Health & Human Services, offers information on health topics, news, research, publications, and more.
  • National Library of Medicine, also from the United States National Institutes of Health, provides health news and information for the public, professionals, researchers, and others.
