- Country Studies, from the Federal Research Division, Library of Congress, offers historical, social, political, economic information on countries around the world.
- Geography at About.com includes general reference, maps, statistics, quizzes, and more. This site does have ads.
- National Geographic Magazine offers numerous resources including maps, articles, interactive media and more.
- USGS Geography provides numerous geographical and geophysical resources in various formats, including downloadable, printable maps and images, and more.
